Interfaith Outreach of SanCap Announces Shared Scholar Program
Interfaith Outreach of Sancap is pleased to announce the 2026 Shared Scholar Program, featuring renowned author, activist, and faith-based thought leader Brian D. McLaren. His public lecture, titled “Where Faith-Inspired Action Could Take Us,” will take place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the Sanctuary of Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ, 2050 Periwinkle Way. Over 500 In Attendance At The Charitable Foundation Volunteer Expo

Former Captiva Chapel Pastor Dies At 96 Years Of Age
Joyce Kelly & Bruce McLeod The Very Reverend Dr. Bruce McLeod served the Chapel from 2000-2004. His wife, Reverend Joyce Kelly, reported his passing to the present pastor, Doug Dortch, this week. Reverend Kelly was the pastor from 2008-2010. In a one-of-a-kind combination, the two are the only husband/wife team to have served the Chapel. Rev. UPCOMING VISIT BY NEW MINISTER
The Chapel Board has selected our next minister, the Rev. Dr. Jim Miller, and his wife, Diane, to lead our Chapel for the next three years. Jim and Diane will be with us for worship on January 25 and will be available to meet attendees following the service. Dr. Miller is the retired pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma. They will begin their ministry term with us in November of 2026.

84 people attended. Several dozen stayed after hospitality to help with the lights & Christmas Tree. First time helpers were 3 Captiva Co. personnel and 4 Boy Scouts from local Troop 1740 Sanibel.
