Accessibility arrangements at the Chapel
Captiva Chapel By The Sea is dedicated to welcoming all individuals, including those with disabilities, to experience the peace and beauty of our Gulfside chapel and grounds.
Parking & Arrival

Designated accessible parking is available in the shared lot adjacent to the Chapel, just off Chapel Way.

The parking area is flat and unpaved but accessible for most mobility devices.

There is no public transportation on Captiva Island, so guests typically arrive by private vehicle, taxi, or hotel shuttle.
Access to the Chapel

The main entrance to the Chapel is accessible via a level shell path from the parking area.

A wheelchair-accessible ramp is located at the west side of the Chapel building.

Chapel doors are wide and unobstructed, with assistance available if needed.
Interior Accessibility

The Chapel is one level, with wide aisles between pews to accommodate wheelchairs or walkers.

Accessible restrooms are available behind the Chapel in the shared facilities area.
Additional Accessibility Features

Volunteers and ushers are available on-site before services to provide support and guidance as needed.

Large-print bulletins are available. Please notify a greeter upon arrival.
