My wife Joan and I raised our four children in Avon, Connecticut (DL, Ross, Alee and Ian). While vacationing in Captiva and Sanibel, we first attended the Chapel on Christmas Eve 2001. We moved full time to Sanibel in 2019 and have enjoyed attending the Chapel ever since. My background is in finance and asset management, and I recently retired from a 40+ year career running a couple of asset management firms.

The Chapel by the Sea is a very special place to me, it brings me serenity. I vividly remember riding my bike in for the first time, Christmas Eve about 25 years ago. The lights were brilliant, the people were happy, and it made an instant impression on me. It just made me feel good being here and has been a sanctuary of calmness ever since.
